A Sea of Purple

Tonight was my grandson Dane’s concert, it was all fifth graders. The concert was held at Fraser high School, these kids were amazing, I mean amazing. It was really inspiring to see so many young children with music in their hearts, they played so well. Among the sea of purple that was the band, there were drums, flutes, saxophones, clarinets, trumpets and so much more.

The sounds of Old McDonald,  Camptown Races, William Tell, Oh Susanah, and more. To have a good concert, you need a good Director, they had Mr. Robert Park. From the stands where many of the parents and grandparents were sitting, you could see the

faces of these kids, they looked up to him. As a young kid, I always wanted to play an instrument, but it wasn’t meant to me. I’m pleased and happy to see my grandson getting the chance to play as well as all the other kids in the concert. It really is very inspiring to listen to these kids play and enjoy doing it. I’m looking forward to the next concert and listen to this great group of musically talented young people.

Way to go Dane, way to go Mr. Park, you’re awesome and amazing. Applause, applause to all of you.
